After plugging in at least one iSCUBE storage unit into the network, install the MyiStorage software application on a locally attached Windows Server or Workstation. Click on the application to run the storage provisioning wizard and create multiple, customized, logical disks. The whole process is as easy as attaching a USB drive to your PC but with faster and more ubiquitous access. The user can easily increase disk capacity or enable data protection, while data is still online, simply by adding more iSCUBE Storage units into the network. Install MyiStorage on additional systems so each can have dedicated, virtual disks and to enhance iSCUBE storage capacity utilization.

Advanced features include providing protection from dual hardware faults (RAID6), provided there are four iSCUBE storage units and the ability to create Windows dynamic volumes – pushing up the basic volumes limitation of Windows from 2TB to 256TB. Host dynamic disks are typically used by applications that require faster, larger, more robust and/or fault tolerant volumes. For example, multiple disk volumes can be used by file servers, database and messaging servers that require high capacity, high performance and reduced latencies.
